I didn’t have much time for an #artproject today so I decided to #draw instead of #paint

With autumn 🍂 equinox coming tomorrow #mabon for my fellow #witches I decided to combine some 🎃 spice and 🐱 cuteness to make Pumpkin Kitty ✨

It’s my birthday on Tuesday so I’m hoping I’ll be able to treat myself to some #artpencils that are of better quality.

Steps were sketch in pencil #hbpencil and then refine the lines but drawing them in darker. Once I was happy I drew over the lines I wanted with #sketchingpen and rubbed out the pencil before adding in my colours and shadows.

Still very much a #beginner but it’s lots of fun and helps my #neurodivergent brain regulate.

I was brought up on #glamrock #heavymetal and all the goodness of the 50s, 60s and 70s.

Marc Bolan has always been mystical, magical and such an inspiration to me and my #creativity - he was a poet, musician, wizard of his own making and of course the King of Glam Rock.

This one was a lot of fun to try today but it was meaningful too.
